Another nearly collapsed against the wall. The second man in the dark suit stumbled backward, shaking his head like his mind refused to believe what his eyes were seeing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s alive,\u201d the maid sobbed. \u201cShe\u2019s alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s fingers twitched again.<\/p>\n<p>Her lips parted.<\/p>\n<p>A weak breath slipped out.<\/p>\n<p>The lead mourner\u2019s face broke completely. \u201cCall an ambulance!\u201d he shouted, his voice cracking as he reached into the coffin with trembling hands.<\/p>\n<p>The maid took the woman\u2019s cold hand and held it against her own cheek. \u201cI knew it,\u201d she whispered through tears. \u201cI knew I heard you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s eyes fluttered.<\/p>\n<p>Not open all the way.<\/p>\n<p>Just enough.<\/p>\n<p>The room froze all over again.<\/p>\n<p>The woman looked confused, trapped between death and waking, and her mouth moved once before a fragile sound came out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHelp\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The lead mourner let out a broken gasp and covered his mouth with one shaking hand. One of the grieving women dropped to the floor crying.<\/p>\n<p>The maid leaned closer, crying harder now. \u201cYou\u2019re safe. We\u2019ve got you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s eyes shifted weakly toward the crowd, then back to the maid.
