He does this for attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The seated boy pulled the half piece of bread to his chest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Like even now someone might take it back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The standing boy looked at his mother.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhy would they throw it away?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She couldn\u2019t answer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because she didn\u2019t know.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or maybe worse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because she had never asked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The manager stepped closer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s old stock. We can\u2019t give it out.
