This morning\u2026 we said goodbye to our beloved daughter, Sasha.<\/p>\n
The room was quiet.<\/p>\n
Too quiet.<\/p>\n
Machines that once filled the air with sound had slowed, then softened, then almost disappeared into silence. The sunlight crept gently through the window, touching her face like it didn\u2019t want to wake her.<\/p>\n
We held her between us.<\/p>\n
Her small body, so fragile now, rested in our arms like it had so many times before\u2014but this time felt different.<\/p>\n
