She was my teacher\u2026
my partner\u2026
my best friend.<\/p>\n

She taught me how to drive.<\/p>\n

I still remember her sitting in the passenger seat, calm but firm, telling me to slow down, to focus, to breathe.<\/p>\n

She taught me how to love.<\/p>\n

Not just physically\u2026 but emotionally.<\/p>\n

How to care.
How to listen.
How to show up for someone.<\/p>\n

She even helped me get my first job.<\/p>\n

And my second.<\/p>\n

Back then, I didn\u2019t realize how much that mattered.<\/p>\n

I just thought\u2026 that\u2019s what love looks like.<\/p>\n

And maybe it is.<\/p>\n

\n

I worked hard those 12 years.<\/p>\n

Rarely took time off.<\/p>\n

Maybe two days here and there.<\/p>\n

No real vacations.<\/p>\n

But it didn\u2019t feel like I was missing anything.<\/p>\n

Because every moment I had\u2026<\/p>\n

I spent with her.<\/p>\n

We did everything together.<\/p>\n

\n

Dancing in the living room for no reason.<\/p>\n

Going to the movies like it was a big event.<\/p>\n

Laughing at things no one else would understand.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t a perfect life.<\/p>\n

But it was ours.<\/p>\n

And that made it perfect enough.<\/p>\n

things are different.<\/p>\n

The house is quieter.<\/p>\n

Too quiet.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no one reminding me to slow down.<\/p>\n

No one sitting next to me in the passenger seat.<\/p>\n

No one waiting to watch a movie or pull me into a dance.<\/p>\n

I still go through the motions.<\/p>\n

Work.<\/p>\n

Eat.<\/p>\n

Sleep.<\/p>\n

But something is missing.<\/p>\n

\n

Not just her presence.<\/p>\n

But the way she made everything feel\u2026 complete.<\/p>\n

\n

You don\u2019t realize how much someone holds your world together\u2026<\/p>\n

until they\u2019re gone.<\/p>\n

\n

And now I understand.<\/p>\n

Life without a good wife\u2026<\/p>\n

isn\u2019t just lonely.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s quieter.<\/p>\n

Slower.<\/p>\n

Heavier.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s also full of memories.<\/p>\n

Memories of everything she gave me.<\/p>\n

Everything she taught me.<\/p>\n

Everything we built together.<\/p>\n

And maybe that\u2019s what I hold onto now.<\/p>\n

Because even though she\u2019s not here anymore\u2026<\/p>\n

The man I am today\u2026<\/p>\n

is still shaped by her.<\/p>\n
